This is my first post here since 2015. Since then my life got very busy and I just did not have any time to make any contribution to any of my blogs including this one.
Last week I decided to republish my blog Eating@Home as we were entertaining friends and I was looking for a recipe of a cake we had not baked since that time of being diagnosed with Diabetes 2.
This got me into updating a post from 2015 and re-titling it Free from Diabetes 2?
Over 2015 up till today I have been following a strict diet as outlined in the article on this blog called Reverse type 2 diabetes
Please find below the outcome of my sticking to a strict diet and healthy lifestyle:
First of all I must add much to my doctors displeasure I stopped taking STATINS after my research and posting Statins may increase the risk of diabetes
Checking back at this blog there are quite a few suggestions about eating and way of life I actually followed. Please click on and read for yourself.

HANGRY?
why do some people get grumpy when they’re hungry?
This is not directly to do with diabetes, but as you read it, you can see the link. I had been suffering with what is called HANGRY. My father also had it for as long as I remember. So I am now wondering if I had had diabetes much longer than I was diagnosed. Also did my father have diabetes during his life and it was missed by the doctors.
This article goes a long way in explaining what happens when blood sugars raise or get too low.

Reverse type 2 diabetes?
Reversing type 2 diabetes can be achieved through weight loss, getting regular exercise and eating a diabetes-friendly diet.
This is not easy to do, but remission from type 2 diabetes enables you to come off your medication, which is a massive accomplishment for anyone.

Pea Curry with Cheese
Pea Curry with Indian Paneer
Paneer is an Indian cheese, similar to ricotta but drier. It is often combined with peas in a curry. This delicious version uses homemade paneer, which is simple to make. The cheese is also high in protein, making it a useful meat substitute in vegetarian meals. Serve the curry with basmati rice and steamed fresh carrots for colour.

Mushroom Toasties
Prepare these toasties for a satisfying snack or a quick lunch paired with fresh fruit. The smooth flavour of the mushrooms is enhanced by cooking them with garlic, herbs and a dollop of tangy low-fat sour cream. The mushrooms taste wonderful piled on top of whole-grain toast spread with ricotta cheese.
